Play Rules
Basic Rules:
In a game of 301/501 the object is for one player or a team to be the first to reach zero from starting total of 301/501. White and Purple handicap players have a 301 leg. Yellow handicap players have a 501 leg.

In simple terms, after three darts are thrown, the throwing player subtracts the total scored from his current total until they reach zero. A Greenzone player can ‘bust’ their remaining score e.g. if they have 16 left – they can throw 16, 17, 18, 19, 20 etc.

In order to win the leg, the player must then throw a remaining dart in the Greenzone. If they have used all 3 darts to bust their score, they wait until their next throw to aim for Greenzone.

Dart Board Measurements:
Standard height from the floor to the bullseye on the dartboard is 5 feet 8 inches, while the oche (distance between the front of the board and the toeline) should measure 7 feet 9.25inches.

Play will run in accordance with the DRA Rulebook.

This tournament has been set up and is run by Portsmouth Darts Academy as the promoter. It is in no way affiliated with any other Dart organisation or body.
