We are searching for a talented and professional social media manager. You will be responsible for posting to the Gosport Darts Academy social media accounts, generating interest in the Academy, increasing social media reach and engagement, and communicating messages effectively.
You need to be self-motivated, enthusiastic, and detail orientated to take on this role. This position requires someone who is a self-starter, organised and who is social media savvy. This can be 100% remote. You do not have to attend sessions on a Wednesday night.

Responsibilities | Create and publish captivating social media posts and other social activity on behalf of Portsmouth Darts Academy. Prepare a schedule on a monthly basis of what to post with guidance from the academy leaders as to what is required e.g. tournament adverts, JDC information, deadline sensitive actions for members/parents/guardians. Respond to messages on the social media accounts with accurate answers and in a timely manner. Increase engagement and reach of the Academy through social media. Present a professional image of the academy in all work undertaken. Provide reports on engagement, reach and other metrics on a quarterly basis. |
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities | Experience in communications, business or marketing would be preferred but not essential. Understanding of social media platforms and scheduling tools. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and TikTok accounts (to be able to add admin roles for the PDA accounts). Outstanding written communication and presentation skills. Friendly, enthusiastic, and positive attitude. High attention to detail Organised and self-starter. This position is subject to a probation period of 3 months. |

Requirements
- It is anticipated that this role will require less than 8 hours of volunteering a month.
- In the event of an emergency, the ability to push ‘last minute’ posts out to the GDA audience.
